غادر منتخبا المملكة للرياضيات والأحياء أرض الوطن متوجهيَن إلى محفلين علميين عالميين؛ ليواصلا حضور السعودية المتصاعد في الأولمبيادات الدولية، ضمن جهود مؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع (موهبة) بالشراكة مع وزارة التعليم، في اكتشاف ورعاية وتمكين الطلبة الموهوبين.

توجّه المنتخب السعودي للرياضيات إلى مدينة شنغهاي الصينية للمشاركة في النسخة الـ67 من أولمبياد الرياضيات الدولي (IMO 2026)، الذي يُقام خلال الفترة من 10 إلى 21 يوليو 2026، بمشاركة طلاب من أكثر من 100 دولة. ويمثل المملكة في هذه النسخة ستة طلبة جرى إعدادهم عبر برنامج تدريبي مكثف بدأ من أولمبياد العلوم والرياضيات الوطني (نسمو)، مرورًا بملتقيات ومعسكرات متخصصة، وصولًا إلى تدريب مكثف استمر شهرين بإشراف خبراء محليين ودوليين، تخللته اختبارات ترشيح دقيقة لاختيار الأكثر جاهزية.

ويتنافس الطلاب في اختبارين على مدى يومين، يتضمن كلٌّ منهما ثلاث مسائل رياضية متقدمة في مجالات الهندسة والجبر والتركيبات ونظرية الأعداد، وتتطلب قدرات عالية في التحليل والإبداع.

في سياق متصل، يستعد المنتخب السعودي للأحياء للمشاركة في أولمبياد الأحياء الدولي (IBO 2026)، الذي تستضيفه مدينة فيلنيوس في ليتوانيا خلال الفترة من 12 إلى 19 يوليو الجاري، بمشاركة أكثر من 300 طالب يمثلون 78 دولة. ويضم المنتخب أربعة طلبة من المرحلة الثانوية، خضعوا لمسار تدريبي نظري وعملي داخل المملكة وخارجها، بإشراف نخبة من الخبراء، ضمن برنامج موهبة للأولمبيادات الدولية.

ويُعد الأولمبياد أبرز مسابقة عالمية في علوم الحياة، إذ يقيس المعرفة البيولوجية المتقدمة والمهارات المختبرية، ويعزز التعاون العلمي بين الدول، ويسلط الضوء على دور علم الأحياء في مواجهة تحديات الصحة والزراعة والبيئة.

وتعكس مشاركات المملكة في هذين المحفلين العالميين الاستثمار الوطني في العقول الشابة، ودعم مسيرة العلوم والابتكار، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 في بناء جيل من الكفاءات القادرة على المنافسة عالميًا، وتعزيز حضور المملكة في مجالات المعرفة والبحث العلمي.

The Saudi teams for mathematics and biology have left the homeland heading to two global scientific events; to continue Saudi Arabia's rising presence in international Olympiads, as part of the efforts of the King Abdulaziz and His Men Foundation for Talent and Creativity (Mawhiba) in partnership with the Ministry of Education, to discover, nurture, and empower talented students.

The Saudi mathematics team is headed to Shanghai, China, to participate in the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2026), which will be held from July 10 to 21, 2026, with the participation of students from over 100 countries. The Kingdom is represented in this edition by six students who have been prepared through an intensive training program that began with the National Science and Mathematics Olympiad (Nasmo), followed by specialized forums and camps, culminating in two months of intensive training under the supervision of local and international experts, which included precise nomination tests to select the most prepared candidates.

The students will compete in two tests over two days, each consisting of three advanced mathematical problems in the fields of geometry, algebra, combinatorics, and number theory, requiring high levels of analytical and creative abilities.

In a related context, the Saudi biology team is preparing to participate in the International Biology Olympiad (IBO 2026), which will be hosted in Vilnius, Lithuania, from July 12 to 19, with the participation of more than 300 students representing 78 countries. The team comprises four high school students who have undergone a theoretical and practical training path both inside and outside the Kingdom, under the supervision of a select group of experts, as part of Mawhiba's program for international Olympiads.

The Olympiad is considered the premier global competition in life sciences, as it measures advanced biological knowledge and laboratory skills, promotes scientific collaboration among countries, and highlights the role of biology in addressing challenges in health, agriculture, and the environment.

The participation of the Kingdom in these two global events reflects the national investment in young minds and supports the journey of science and innovation, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a generation of competencies capable of competing globally and to enhance the Kingdom's presence in the fields of knowledge and scientific research.
