باشرت السلطات العراقية إجراءات قانونية وتحقيقات استخباراتية وأمنية لكشف ملابسات الخروقات والمخالفات التي شهدتها عدد من المنافذ الحدودية مع إيران، وذلك في أعقاب الهجمات التي استهدفت السعودية وانطلقت إحدى عملياتها من الأراضي العراقية.
وأعلنت خلية الإعلام الحربي العراقية، اليوم (السبت)، أن الجهات الأمنية المختصة بدأت عمليات ترتيب إداري وأمني في عدد من المنافذ الحدودية، بالتزامن مع اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة وتكثيف العمل الاستخباراتي والتحقيق والتدقيق للكشف عن ملابسات الخروقات التي حدثت، والعمل على وضع المعالجات المناسبة لها.
وأكدت الخلية استمرار العمل في منفذي زرباطية والمنذرية، موضحة أنهما مفتوحان أمام حركة المسافرين، فيما كانت مصادر مطلعة قد أفادت بإغلاق منافذ الشلامجة والشيب ومندلي مع إيران بشكل كامل، مع استمرار حركة العبور عبر المنفذين الآخرين.
وفي تصعيد للإجراءات الحكومية، وجّه رئيس الوزراء العراقي علي فالح الزيدي بتشكيل مجلس تحقيقي بحق قيادة عمليات محافظة ميسان، الواقعة على الحدود مع إيران جنوب شرقي العراق، كما أصدر توجيهاً بإعفاء قائد عمليات المحافظة من منصبه وإحالة مديري الأجهزة الأمنية بالمحافظة للتحقيق، بعد ثبوت انطلاق الاعتداءات التي طالت السعودية من أحد المواقع داخل المحافظة، وفق ما أعلنه المتحدث باسم القائد العام للقوات المسلحة صباح النعمان.
وتحظى ميسان بأهمية أمنية خاصة، نظراً لموقعها الحدودي مع إيران، ولنشاط فصائل مسلحة مدعومة من طهران في المحافظة، ما يضع إجراءات بغداد أمام اختبار حقيقي لمدى قدرتها على ضبط الحدود ومنع استخدام الأراضي العراقية منصة لتنفيذ اعتداءات خارج البلاد.
وتأتي التحركات العراقية بعد إعلان السعودية، أمس، إيقاف العمل بخط أنابيب نقل النفط من المنطقة الشرقية إلى السواحل الغربية، عقب تعرضه لهجمات بطائرات مسيّرة مصدرها العراق.
The Iraqi authorities have initiated legal procedures and intelligence and security investigations to uncover the circumstances surrounding the violations and breaches that occurred at several border crossings with Iran, following the attacks that targeted Saudi Arabia, one of which was launched from Iraqi territory.
The Iraqi military media cell announced today (Saturday) that the relevant security agencies have begun administrative and security arrangements at several border crossings, coinciding with the necessary legal measures and intensifying intelligence work, investigation, and scrutiny to uncover the circumstances of the breaches that occurred and to work on appropriate remedies.
The cell confirmed that operations continue at the Zurbatiyah and Al-Mundhiriyah crossings, clarifying that they are open to the movement of travelers, while informed sources reported the complete closure of the Shalamcheh, Al-Shayb, and Mandali crossings with Iran, with continued transit through the other two crossings.
In a escalation of government measures, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falah Al-Zaydi directed the formation of an investigative council regarding the operations command in Maysan province, located on the border with Iran in southeastern Iraq. He also issued a directive to relieve the operations commander of his position after it was confirmed that the attacks targeting Saudi Arabia originated from a site within the province, according to what was announced by the spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Nauman.
Maysan holds special security significance due to its border location with Iran and the activity of armed factions supported by Tehran in the province, which puts Baghdad's measures to the test regarding their ability to control the borders and prevent the use of Iraqi territory as a platform for carrying out attacks outside the country.
The Iraqi moves come after Saudi Arabia announced yesterday the suspension of operations on the oil pipeline from the Eastern Province to the western coast, following attacks by drones originating from Iraq.
