أثمن كثيراً للأخ محمد القدادي موقفه الشجاع حينما ظهر مع الزميل تركي العجمة في برنامج كورة قبل سنوات، وكذّب كل ما جاء من معلومات «مزوّرة» نسبت إليه قدّمها أحد «الدخلاء» المدعي معرفته بتاريخ نادي الوحدة حينما كشفه أمام الملايين، ولم يكتفِ بذلك، إنما أكد في تلك المقابلة التلفزيونية أنه لم يشفع لتلك الشخصية التي ذكرها بالاسم إلا أسماء معروفة من وجهاء مكة المكرمة.

- مرت تلك المقابلة بكل ما حملته من رسائل وتحذيرات، دون أن نعرف موقف الطرف الآخر بشكل واضح، فلم يصدر عنه -حسب ما ظهر آنذاك- نفي أو اعتذار، وفي الوقت نفسه لم نلحظ تمسّك القدادي بمساره القانوني للمطالبة بحقه ممن اعتبر أنه أساء إليه أو تناول سيرته ومكانته كمؤرخ بطريقة غير صحيحة، بما يفسر تراجعه وعدم ظهور أي رد فعل ممن توعّده بالقضاء أن «أهل الخير» تدخلوا للصلح بينهما وقبل «شفاعتهم» وبالتالي عفا عنه، وتجاوز تلك الإساءة حفاظاً على العلاقات الاجتماعية، وبما يتناسب مع مكانته وتقديره للمجتمع الذي ينتمي إليه.

- على أنني، وفي الوقت نفسه، أُثمّن أيضاً للأخ محمد القدادي حالة الصمت التي التزم بها تجاه كل من علّقوا على حديثه الذي تناول معلومات «ملفقة» لا أساس لها من الصحة أثارت جدلاً واسعاً حول حقبة من تاريخنا الرياضي تخص نادي الاتحاد، وتناولت شخصيات رياضية من الروّاد -رحمهم الله،

على الرغم من ردود الفعل القوية جداً التي شهدتها منصة «إكس»، وما صاحبها من آراء نقدية حادة، وظهور مؤرخين ومعاصرين للتاريخ الرياضي قدّموا وجهات نظر مختلفة مدعومة بما يرونه من وثائق وشواهد، إلا أنه منذ ذلك اليوم وحتى الآن لم يظهر في المنصة نفسها لتقديم إيضاحات أو الدخول في نقاش حول ما أُثير، كما أنه لم يكتب أي حرف أو أي تعليق، حيث فضل «الاختفاء» تماماً و«الهروب» من «المواجهة».

- وهنا للصمت «قيمة» كبيرة تعني «الرضا» تحقيقاً للمثل القائل «السكوت علامة الرضا»، بما يدل على اعترافه بـ«الخطأ» الجسيم الذي وقع فيه، ومن ثم فإنني أُثمّن للقدادي صمته، وألتمس له العذر؛ فقد أصبح أمام موقف صعب، والأفضل للقدادي كنصيحة أقدمها له، اتخاذ قرار «اعتزال» الكتابة والحديث عن التاريخ عموماً والرياضي خصوصاً وبشكل نهائي، «فالقضية في جوهرها ليست خلافاً شخصياً، وإنما مسؤولية توثيق التاريخ الرياضي بأمانة ودقة، احتراماً للأجيال القادمة». وقد يكون من الحكمة إعادة مراجعة ما كُتب وتوثيق المعلومات بصورة أكثر تدقيقاً ليكسب ثقة الناس.

- حتى اعتذاره لن تكون له قيمة ومعنى، وإن بحث عمّن يتوسط له «شافعاً» له عند الاتحاديين والمؤرخين والمعاصرين للتاريخ الرياضي فلن تقبل «شفاعتهم»، هذا إن وجد من يرضى له بالشفاعة عقب مواقفه المتناقضة، والتشويه الذي ارتكبه في حق تاريخنا الرياضي عامة وفي حق عميد الأندية السعودية نادي الاتحاد خاصة.

I greatly appreciate brother Mohammed Al-Qaddadi's courageous stance when he appeared with colleague Turki Al-Ajma in the Koura program years ago, where he refuted all the "forged" information attributed to him, presented by an "intruder" claiming to know the history of Al-Wehda Club when he exposed him in front of millions. He did not stop there; he confirmed in that television interview that he had only interceded for the individual mentioned by name with well-known names from the dignitaries of Mecca.

- That interview passed with all its messages and warnings, without us knowing the clear position of the other party. No denial or apology was issued from him - as it appeared at the time - and at the same time, we did not notice Al-Qaddadi's insistence on his legal path to demand his rights from those he considered had wronged him or addressed his reputation and status as a historian in an incorrect manner. This explains his retreat and the absence of any reaction from those who threatened him with legal action, as "good people" intervened for reconciliation between them and accepted their "intercession," thus forgiving him and overlooking that offense to preserve social relations, in a manner befitting his status and appreciation for the community to which he belongs.

- However, at the same time, I also value brother Mohammed Al-Qaddadi's silence regarding all those who commented on his statements that addressed "fabricated" information lacking any basis in truth, which sparked widespread debate about a period in our sports history concerning Al-Ittihad Club, involving prominent sports figures - may they rest in peace.

Despite the very strong reactions witnessed on the "X" platform, accompanied by sharp critical opinions, and the emergence of historians and contemporaries of sports history who presented different viewpoints supported by what they see as documents and evidence, since that day until now, he has not appeared on the same platform to provide clarifications or engage in discussions about what was raised. He has also not written a single letter or comment, as he preferred to "disappear" completely and "escape" from "confrontation."

- Here, silence holds significant "value," indicating "contentment," in line with the saying "silence is a sign of acceptance," which suggests his acknowledgment of the "serious" mistake he made. Therefore, I appreciate Al-Qaddadi's silence and seek to excuse him; he has found himself in a difficult position. My advice to Al-Qaddadi is to make the decision to "retire" from writing and discussing history in general and sports history in particular, permanently. "The issue, in essence, is not a personal dispute, but rather a responsibility to document sports history with honesty and accuracy, in respect for future generations." It may be wise to reconsider what has been written and document the information more meticulously to gain the trust of the people.

- Even his apology will hold no value or meaning, and if he seeks someone to mediate for him as an "intercessor" among the Ittihad members, historians, and contemporaries of sports history, their "intercession" will not be accepted. This is if there is anyone willing to intercede for him after his contradictory stances and the distortion he has committed against our sports history in general and against the dean of Saudi clubs, Al-Ittihad Club, in particular.
