بحث الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء، الدكتور هشام بن سعد الجضعي، مع وزيرة سلامة الغذاء والدواء في جمهورية كوريا، الدكتورة أوه يو-كيونغ، سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك في مجالات الغذاء والدواء والمنتجات الطبية، وذلك على هامش القمة السنوية لمنظمة السلطات التنظيمية لائتلاف الأدوية الدولي (ICMRA).
واستعرض الجانبان، خلال اللقاء، أوجه التعاون القائم في إطار مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة بين الهيئة والوزارة الكورية عام 2023، وناقشا تطوير التعاون في التقييم العلمي المشترك للأدوية، وتبادل الخبرات وأفضل الممارسات في رصد الأغذية وتتبعها.
كما بحثا فرص التعاون في إدارة مخاطر الأمراض المنقولة بالغذاء، وتبادل الخبرات في الوقاية منها والحد من حدوثها، وتعزيز فعالية الرقابة، إلى جانب التعاون في مجال الحلال، بمشاركة الفريق الفني الكوري المختص بالأمراض المنقولة بالغذاء، وممثلين عن الهيئة والمركز السعودي للحلال.
وعقد الجضعي على هامش القمة لقاءات ثنائية مع رؤساء الجهات الرقابية في مصر والبرتغال واليابان وسنغافورة والمملكة المتحدة، تناولت الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك وسبل تعزيز التعاون وتبادل الخبرات في المجالات التنظيمية.
The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Dr. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhai, discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation in the fields of food, medicine, and medical products with the Minister of Food and Drug Safety of the Republic of Korea, Dr. Oh Yu-kyung, on the sidelines of the annual summit of the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA).
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the existing cooperation under the memorandum of understanding signed between the Authority and the Korean Ministry in 2023, and discussed the development of collaboration in the joint scientific evaluation of medicines, as well as the exchange of experiences and best practices in food monitoring and tracking.
They also explored opportunities for cooperation in managing risks associated with foodborne diseases, exchanging expertise in their prevention and reduction, enhancing the effectiveness of oversight, along with collaboration in the halal sector, with the participation of the Korean technical team specialized in foodborne diseases and representatives from the Authority and the Saudi Halal Center.
On the sidelines of the summit, Al-Jadhai held bilateral meetings with heads of regulatory bodies from Egypt, Portugal, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, addressing topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in regulatory fields.
