Elizabeth Warren is expected to chair the banking committee in the Senate, being one of the most prominent critics of cryptocurrencies and their financial ties to the president, while the House Financial Services Committee is preparing to lead similar discussions.
Thus, the Democrats' gains are not limited to enhancing their political presence within Congress, but also grant them institutional tools to monitor Trump's decisions and open files from his administration to investigation and accountability, in a context likely to shape the next two years of his term.
