Students who are already working towards the ACCA Qualification should continue their studies and use ACCA’s official transition resources to understand how their expected progress maps to the redesigned structure.
ACCA’s transition rules provide credit for completed elements where equivalent elements remain in the redesigned qualification. ACCA has published dedicated transition guidance covering progression requirements, completion deadlines, exam and module credit, and the route towards membership. Because each student’s position may be different, the Transition Tool is the appropriate source for individual guidance.
For on-demand exams, the transition from the current Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) and Applied Knowledge levels to the redesigned Foundations and Knowledge levels will take place in July 2027. The final Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams under the current qualification will take place in June 2027, with the first Expertise and redesigned Strategic Professional exams offered in September 2027.
