Ivorian player Yan Diomande dealt a harsh blow to his former team Leipzig, as he needed only 17 minutes after coming on as a substitute to both score and assist, in an exceptional appearance in the Champions League.
The Champions League is a constant stage for the brilliance of young talents, as new generations write chapters of football creativity, confirming that football only recognizes effort and contribution on the pitch.
Diomande etched his name in the tournament's records, becoming the sixth youngest foreign goalscorer in the history of Real Madrid in the Champions League at the age of 19 years and 341 days.
The Ivorian star achieved a remarkable historical record, being the only player in Champions League history who previously scored while wearing the Leipzig jersey, and then returned to score against the same team while wearing the Real Madrid jersey, in a paradox that encapsulates the harshness of football.
