لقي أربعة عمال مصرعهم بعدما صدمهم قطار سريع أثناء دخوله محطة شين كانوما في محافظة توشيجي شمالي طوكيو، اليوم، خلال قيامهم بمكافحة الأعشاب على مسار السكك الحديدية.
وأوضحت الشرطة أن الضحايا، وهم ثلاثة عمال ومشرف، نقلوا إلى المستشفى قبل إعلان وفاتهم، فيما لم يُصب ستة أشخاص آخرون كانوا في الموقع أو نحو 50 راكبًا على متن القطار.
وتحقق السلطات في أسباب عدم مغادرة العمال المسار لدى اقتراب القطار وملابسات الحادث.
Four workers were killed after being struck by a fast train while entering the Shinkanoema station in Tochigi Prefecture, north of Tokyo, today, as they were combating weeds on the railway track.
The police stated that the victims, consisting of three workers and a supervisor, were taken to the hospital before being pronounced dead, while six other people at the site and about 50 passengers on the train were not injured.
The authorities are investigating the reasons why the workers did not leave the track as the train approached and the circumstances of the incident.
