أعلنت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية (UKMTO)، اليوم (السبت)، أنها تلقت بلاغاً عن واقعة على بعد 21 ميلاً بحرياً إلى الشمال الشرقي من خصب في سلطنة عمان، إذ شاهد ربان ناقلة نفط تناثراً كبيراً للمياه وانفجاراً على مقربة شديدة من السفينة.

وأكدت الهيئة أنه لم ترد أي تقارير عن وقوع أضرار بالسفينة، بحسب ما نقلت وكالة «رويترز».

وأُصيبت ناقلة نفط بمقذوف مجهول قبالة سواحل سلطنة عمان في وقت سابق اليوم. وذكرت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية أن السفينة تعرضت لإصابة بمقذوف مجهول أدى إلى أضرار في غرفة المحركات.

وأضافت أنه لم يتم الإبلاغ عن أي إصابات جراء الحادثة التي وقعت على بعد حوالى 12.5 ميلاً بحرياً قبالة سواحل ليما العُمانية.

وتزامنت تلك التطورات مع استمرار مسألة السيطرة على مضيق هرمز كعقبة رئيسة أمام أي تسوية محتملة بين واشنطن وطهران.

وأغلقت إيران عملياً الممر الحيوي منذ بدء الحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية عليها في 28 فبراير. وبعد إعادة فتحه لفترة وجيزة عقب توقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع الولايات المتحدة لإنهاء الحرب، عاودت طهران تقييد حركة الملاحة البحرية بعد استئناف الطرفين الأعمال القتالية في السابع من يوليو.

وتتمسك إيران بأن تعبر السفن عبر مسار محاذٍ لسواحلها، وتهدد باستهداف تلك التي تحاول استخدام مسار بديل يمر بمحاذاة سواحل سلطنة عمان.

وهاجم الحرس الثوري الإيراني عدداً من السفن التي حاولت عبور مضيق هرمز وأوقفها، قائلاً في الأيام الأخيرة إن إيران تسيطر بشكل كامل على المضيق.

من جهته، ذكر موقع «كيبلر» لتتبع الملاحة البحرية، أمس (الجمعة)، أن حركة الملاحة عبر مضيق هرمز انخفضت بشكل حاد. وأضاف على منصة «اكس» أنه مع استمرار تباين المواقف بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، يُراقب المشغلون عن كثب حجم حركة الملاحة، وأنماط تغيير المسارات، وأي تطورات دبلوماسية قد تعيد تشكيل المخاطر على طول خطوط الشحن الإقليمية في الأيام القادمة.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced today (Saturday) that it received a report of an incident 21 nautical miles northeast of Khasab in the Sultanate of Oman, where the captain of an oil tanker observed a significant spray of water and an explosion very close to the ship.

The agency confirmed that there were no reports of damage to the vessel, according to what was reported by Reuters.

An oil tanker was hit by an unknown projectile off the coast of the Sultanate of Oman earlier today. The UK Maritime Trade Operations reported that the ship sustained damage to its engine room from an unknown projectile.

It added that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, which occurred approximately 12.5 nautical miles off the coast of Oman’s Lima.

These developments coincided with the ongoing issue of control over the Strait of Hormuz as a major obstacle to any potential settlement between Washington and Tehran.

Iran has effectively closed the vital passage since the start of the American-Israeli war against it on February 28. After briefly reopening it following the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the United States to end the war, Tehran resumed restricting maritime navigation after both sides resumed hostilities on July 7.

Iran insists that ships must pass through a route adjacent to its shores and threatens to target those attempting to use an alternative route along the coast of the Sultanate of Oman.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has attacked several ships attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz and has stopped them, stating in recent days that Iran has complete control over the strait.

For its part, the maritime tracking site "Kepler" reported yesterday (Friday) that maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has sharply declined. It added on the "X" platform that as the positions between the United States and Iran continue to diverge, operators are closely monitoring the volume of maritime traffic, route change patterns, and any diplomatic developments that may reshape the risks along regional shipping lines in the coming days.
