Dubai Misr Developments has officially launched the foundation works for its flagship residential project, Lumia Lagoons, located in the R8 district of Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, during a large-scale ceremony attended by the company’s Board of Directors, leading consultants, strategic partners, and representatives of construction and real estate marketing firms.

During the event, the company laid the foundation stone of the project, marking the beginning of a new phase of construction. Dubai Misr also announced the signing of a contract with Omega to undertake the project’s construction works, as part of its strategy to collaborate with experienced companies capable of delivering large-scale developments while ensuring the highest standards of quality and adherence to project timelines.

The company’s Board of Directors stated that Lumia Lagoons represents a significant milestone in Dubai Misr’s growth journey and builds on the success of the Lumia series of developments, which aim to create integrated residential communities based on innovative design, construction excellence, and long-term value for customers.

Eng. Abdelfattah El Morr, Chairman of Dubai Misr Developments, emphasized that the company has believed in the New Administrative Capital since its inception as one of Egypt’s most important urban and investment destinations.

The ceremony also featured panel discussions involving members of the company’s Board of Directors, consultants, and strategic partners, focusing on Dubai Misr’s expansion plans, its project development strategy, and the role of partnerships in ensuring construction quality and successful project delivery.

The event concluded with an awards ceremony honoring a number of consultants, execution partners, and real estate marketing companies in recognition of their valuable contributions to the success of the project.
