استعادت القوات المسلحة اليمنية اليوم (الأحد)، مواقع كانت المليشيات الحوثية الإرهابية قد تسللت إليها غربي محافظة تعز، وواصلت تقدمها باتجاه مناطق جديدة، بالتزامن مع غارات للقوات الجوية استهدفت تجمعات وتعزيزات المليشيات في أنحاء متفرقة من المحافظة.
وقال مصدر عسكري في محور تعز، إن القوات المسلحة استعادت مواقع مطلة على منطقة جرداد بمديرية الشمايتين، وتقدمت باتجاه منطقة غيل بني عمر، في إطار عمليات متواصلة تهدف إلى طرد المليشيات الحوثية من المحافظة.
وأضاف المصدر أن القوات المسلحة استولت خلال المواجهات على عتاد عسكري وكبدت المليشيات خسائر بشرية فادحة.
وفي موازاة التقدم البري، شن الطيران الحربي، سلسلة غارات على مواقع وتجمعات وآليات للمليشيات في مناطق متفرقة من محافظة تعز.
وبحسب المصدر، استهدفت الغارات أطقماً وتجمعات لعناصر المليشيات الإرهابية في مديريات ذو باب، والوازعية، وحيفان، كما قصفت تجمعاً لمسلحي الجماعة في منطقة العفيرة بمديرية جبل حبشي، ما أدى إلى تدمير عدد من الآليات العسكرية وانفجار مخزون من ذخائر الأسلحة المتوسطة، إضافة إلى مقتل عشرة مسلحين على الأقل.
The Yemeni armed forces regained today (Sunday) positions that the terrorist Houthi militias had infiltrated in the western part of Taiz Governorate, continuing their advance towards new areas, coinciding with airstrikes targeting the militias' gatherings and reinforcements in various parts of the governorate.
A military source in the Taiz axis stated that the armed forces regained positions overlooking the Jurdad area in the Al-Shamayatayn district and advanced towards the Ghayl Bani Omar area, as part of ongoing operations aimed at expelling the Houthi militias from the governorate.
The source added that the armed forces seized military equipment during the confrontations and inflicted heavy human losses on the militias.
In parallel with the ground advance, the warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on the militias' positions, gatherings, and vehicles in various areas of Taiz Governorate.
According to the source, the airstrikes targeted vehicles and gatherings of the terrorist militia elements in the districts of Dhubab, Al-Waziyah, and Haifan, and also struck a gathering of the group's militants in the Al-Afira area of Jabal Habashi district, resulting in the destruction of several military vehicles and the explosion of a stockpile of medium weapon ammunition, in addition to the deaths of at least ten militants.
