أدانت قطر بأشد العبارات استهداف خط أنابيب (شرق - غرب) في منطقتي الرياض والمدينة المنورة بالمملكة العربية السعودية بعدة مسيرات قادمة من العراق، وما نتج عنه من إصابات بشرية وأضرار مادية.
وأكدت وزارة الخارجية القطرية، في بيان، أن استهداف المنشآت المدنية والاقتصادية يمثل عملاً مداناً وانتهاكاً صارخاً للقانون الدولي، وتصعيداً خطيراً من شأنه تقويض أمن واستقرار المنطقة.
وثمنت في هذا السياق النهج المسؤول الذي تنتهجه المملكة العربية السعودية في دعم جهود الحكومة العراقية في منع استخدام أراضيها للاعتداء على المملكة ودول الجوار.
وأعربت الوزارة عن تضامن دولة قطر الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية، ودعمها لكافة الإجراءات التي تتخذها لحماية سيادتها وأمنها ومنشآتها.
Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of the (East-West) pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by several drones coming from Iraq, resulting in human injuries and material damage.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement that targeting civilian and economic facilities constitutes a condemned act and a blatant violation of international law, and represents a serious escalation that could undermine the security and stability of the region.
In this context, it praised the responsible approach taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the efforts of the Iraqi government to prevent its territory from being used to attack the Kingdom and neighboring countries.
The ministry expressed the full solidarity of the State of Qatar with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its support for all measures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and facilities.
