أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (سنتكوم) اليوم (السبت) استهداف 3 ناقلات نفط إيرانية، موضحة أن هذه الهجمات جاءت رداً على إطلاق الحرس الثوري صواريخ باليستية باتجاه سفينتين حربيتين تابعتين للبحرية الأمريكية في مياه المنطقة.
وقالت «سنتكوم» إن حاملة طائرات أمريكية ومدمرة مزودة بصواريخ موجهة تمكنتا من تفادي عدة هجمات إيرانية، مؤكدة عدم إصابة أي من أفراد القوات الأمريكية. ونشرت القيادة المركزية مقطع فيديو لعمليات استهداف ناقلات النفط الإيرانية، لافتة إلى أنه بعد الهجمات الإيرانية الفاشلة عطلت القوات الأمريكية بشكل دائم ناقلة النفط الخام M/T Downy التابعة للحرس الثوري قبالة ساحل جزيرة خارك، وناقلة M/T Stark 1 قرب جاسك (في خليج عمان).
وأضاف البيان: «كما دمرت القوات الأمريكية بالكامل ناقلة النفط الخام M/T Kylo، المعروفة أيضاً باسم Noxen، في خليج عمان»، مشيراً إلى أن ناقلات النفط الإيرانية الثلاث تشكل جزءاً من «أسطول ظل» تقدر قيمته بمليارات الدولارات. من جانبه، قال قائد القيادة المركزية الأمريكية براد كوبر: «رسالتي إلى الحرس الثوري هي إذا أطلقتم النار على اثنتين من سفننا، فسنفرض عليكم كلفة اقتصادية أكبر، عبر إخراج ثلاث من سفنكم عن الخدمة»، مضيفاً: «لن نتردد في الدفاع عن القوات الأمريكية، وإذا لزم الأمر سندمر أسطول النفط الإيراني». وكانت وكالة تسنيم الإيرانية قالت في وقت سابق اليوم: «إن قوات أمريكية استهدفت بصواريخ ناقلة نفط إيرانية على بعد 6 أميال بحرية من جزيرة خارك»، موضحة أن الناقلة أُصيبت بـ4 مقذوفات أثناء وجودها في منطقة مرسى جزيرة خارك. وذكرت الوكالة أن الحادثة لم تسفر عن خسائر بشرية، وأفراد طاقم الناقلة تم إخلاؤهم.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced today (Saturday) the targeting of 3 Iranian oil tankers, explaining that these attacks were in response to the Revolutionary Guard firing ballistic missiles at two U.S. Navy warships in the region's waters.
CENTCOM stated that an American aircraft carrier and a guided-missile destroyer managed to evade several Iranian attacks, confirming that no U.S. personnel were injured. The Central Command released a video of the operations targeting the Iranian oil tankers, noting that after the failed Iranian attacks, U.S. forces permanently disabled the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's crude oil tanker M/T Downy off the coast of Khark Island, and the tanker M/T Stark 1 near Jask (in the Gulf of Oman).
The statement added: "U.S. forces also completely destroyed the crude oil tanker M/T Kylo, also known as Noxen, in the Gulf of Oman," pointing out that the three Iranian oil tankers are part of a "shadow fleet" valued at billions of dollars. For his part, U.S. Central Command Commander Brad Cooper said: "My message to the Revolutionary Guard is if you fire at two of our ships, we will impose a greater economic cost on you by taking three of your ships out of service," adding: "We will not hesitate to defend U.S. forces, and if necessary, we will destroy the Iranian oil fleet." Earlier today, the Tasnim news agency reported: "U.S. forces targeted an Iranian oil tanker with missiles 6 nautical miles from Khark Island," explaining that the tanker was hit by 4 projectiles while in the Khark Island anchorage area. The agency mentioned that the incident did not result in any casualties, and the crew members of the tanker were evacuated.
