أكد وزير الاستثمار فهد السيف، أن الاستثمارات الفرنسية المباشرة في السعودية وصلت إلى 16.3 مليار يورو (تعادل 19.02 مليار دولار)، وهو ما يعادل ضعف ما كانت عليه قبل عامين، لتصبح فرنسا رابع أكبر مصدر للاستثمارات الأجنبية في السعودية، لافتا إلى أن متانة الاقتصاد السعودي وتنوعه في القطاعات المهمة يوفران للمستثمرين الكبار توقعات أكثر استقراراً.
فرص واسعة
وأوضح السيف خلال اجتماع الطاولة المستديرة السعودي الفرنسي، أن المستثمرين الفرنسيين لديهم 650 رخصة استثمارية في المملكة، مشيراً إلى أن دخول رؤية السعودية 2030 مرحلة التطبيق والإنجاز خلق فرصاً كبيرة أمام الشركات الفرنسية للتوسع في المملكة.
ولفت إلى أن البنية التحتية والتصنيع والنقل والخدمات اللوجستية والألعاب والسياحة توفر فرصاً واسعة للاستثمارات والشراكات، وتعكس تنوع الفرص المتاحة في المملكة.
وأشار وزير الاستثمار إلى أن قطاع النفط والغاز والبتروكيماويات يمثل أحد أبرز مجالات التعاون، موضحاً أن الشركات الفرنسية تستثمر بقوة في قطاع الطاقة السعودي، الذي يعتمد أيضاً على التكنولوجيا، إلى جانب الطاقة المتجددة.
تعاون كبير
وفي القطاع المالي، أكد وجود تعاون كبير، مشيراً إلى العمل على تعزيز النظام المالي السعودي المفتوح أمام الاستثمارات الأجنبية، فضلاً عن كون أسواق المال السعودية الأكبر من حيث السيولة في الشرق الأوسط، بما يتيح فرصاً متعددة أمام الخدمات المالية وقطاع التأمين، إلى جانب فرص الاستثمار في أسواق جديدة وعمليات الاندماج وغيرها.
مقومات كبيرة
وأشار إلى أن قطاعي الألعاب والرياضة يمثلان فرصاً إضافية للاستثمار، موضحاً أن المملكة تتمتع بمقومات كبيرة للابتكار والأفكار والتنافس الدولي.
وفي هذا السياق، أكد السيف أهمية بناء قاعدة قوية على المدى الطويل، مشيراً إلى أن برنامج القاعدة الرئيسية يضم نحو 500 شركة، من بينها أكثر من 30 شركة فرنسية في قطاعات متعددة.
وأضاف أن المجلس الوزاري وافق على تعزيز وضع المملكة وتحسين بيئة الأعمال.
تعزيز الشراكات
ودعا وزير الاستثمار الشركاء الفرنسيين إلى استغلال الفرص المتاحة في المملكة، والاستفادة من قدراتهم في التكنولوجيا ورؤوس أموالهم للمشاركة في هذه المشاريع.
كما دعا نظراءه السعوديين إلى تقديم الفرص والمشاريع ومتطلبات الاستثمار والمسارات اللازمة لتنفيذها، مؤكداً أن الهدف هو أن تخرج الشركات والمستثمرون والحكومتان من الاجتماع بتركيز واضح على دفع العلاقات الاقتصادية قدماً، بما يعكس قوة العلاقات السعودية الفرنسية في إطار الشراكة بين البلدين.
يذكر أن اجتماع الطاولة المستديرة الفرنسي السعودي للاستثمار، انطلق في العاصمة الفرنسية باريس، بمشاركة مسؤولين وقادة أعمال من البلدين.
Minister of Investment Fahd Al-Saif confirmed that direct French investments in Saudi Arabia have reached 16.3 billion euros (equivalent to 19.02 billion dollars), which is double what it was two years ago, making France the fourth largest source of foreign investments in Saudi Arabia, noting that the strength and diversity of the Saudi economy in key sectors provide major investors with more stable expectations.
Wide Opportunities
Al-Saif explained during the Saudi-French roundtable meeting that French investors hold 650 investment licenses in the Kingdom, pointing out that the implementation and achievement phase of Saudi Vision 2030 has created significant opportunities for French companies to expand in the Kingdom.
He noted that infrastructure, manufacturing, transportation, logistics, gaming, and tourism provide wide opportunities for investments and partnerships, reflecting the diversity of available opportunities in the Kingdom.
The Minister of Investment indicated that the oil, gas, and petrochemicals sector represents one of the most prominent areas of cooperation, explaining that French companies are heavily investing in the Saudi energy sector, which also relies on technology, in addition to renewable energy.
Significant Cooperation
In the financial sector, he confirmed the existence of significant cooperation, pointing out the efforts to enhance the Saudi financial system that is open to foreign investments, as well as the fact that Saudi financial markets are the largest in terms of liquidity in the Middle East, providing multiple opportunities in financial services and the insurance sector, along with investment opportunities in new markets, mergers, and more.
Great Components
He pointed out that the gaming and sports sectors represent additional investment opportunities, explaining that the Kingdom has great components for innovation, ideas, and international competition.
In this context, Al-Saif emphasized the importance of building a strong long-term foundation, noting that the main base program includes about 500 companies, among which are more than 30 French companies in various sectors.
He added that the Council of Ministers approved enhancing the Kingdom's position and improving the business environment.
Enhancing Partnerships
The Minister of Investment called on French partners to take advantage of the available opportunities in the Kingdom and to leverage their capabilities in technology and capital to participate in these projects.
He also urged his Saudi counterparts to present opportunities, projects, investment requirements, and the necessary pathways for their implementation, emphasizing that the goal is for companies, investors, and both governments to leave the meeting with a clear focus on advancing economic relations, reflecting the strength of Saudi-French relations within the framework of the partnership between the two countries.
It is worth noting that the Saudi-French investment roundtable meeting commenced in the French capital, Paris, with the participation of officials and business leaders from both countries.
