بالبلدي: القضاء السوري : السجن المؤبد مدى الحياة لمفتي نظام بشار الأسد

أصدرت محكمة الجنايات الرابعة في دمشق، اليوم (الإثنين)، حكماً بالسجن المؤبد بحق مفتي النظام السوري السابق أحمد حسون، بعد إدانته في قضية تتعلق بالتحريض على العنف وتبرير القتل واستغلال المنصب، في إطار محاكمات تجري ضمن مسار العدالة الانتقالية في سورية.

وقال القاضي فخر الدين العريان، خلال جلسة النطق بالحكم، إن المعطيات تشير إلى أن المؤسسة الدينية الرسمية، وعلى رأسها دار الإفتاء، وُظفت في عهد النظام البائد لتوفير غطاء ديني للعمليات العسكرية والأمنية وتبريرها أمام الرأي العام.

وأضاف أن المؤسسة الدينية الرسمية في عهد النظام البائد بررت استخدام البراميل المتفجرة التي استهدفت المناطق المدنية وألحقت دماراً واسعاً، بما يشكل انتهاكاً لقواعد القانون الدولي الإنساني.

وأوضح العريان أن المتهم قدم دعماً مالياً دورياً لقيادة وعناصر لواء القدس المشارك في العمليات العسكرية، مشيراً إلى ثبوت تورط حسون في جرائم ضد الإنسانية وجرائم حرب.

وقررت المحكمة تجريم المتهم حسون بجناية الاعتداء الذي يسبب الحرب الأهلية والاقتتال الطائفي، والحكم عليه بالسجن المؤبد مدى الحياة. كما قررت المحكمة الحجز على أموال المحكوم عليه المنقولة وغير المنقولة ومصادرتها لصالح الخزانة العامة. وتأتي محاكمة حسون استكمالاً لسلسلة الجلسات القضائية المنعقدة ضمن مسار العدالة الانتقالية لمحاسبة المتورطين بارتكاب جرائم بحق الشعب السوري في عهد النظام البائد. وكانت قضت محكمة الجنايات الرابعة يوم (الثلاثاء) الماضي، بإعدام المتهم وسيم الأسد ومصادرة أمواله المنقولة وغير المنقولة، لإدانته بجرائم ضد الإنسانية وجرائم حرب، كما أصدرت في 11 من آب الجاري حكماً بالإعدام حضورياً بحق المتهم عاطف نجيب، وغيابياً بحق المجرمين الفارين بشار الأسد وماهر الأسد وخمسة مجرمين فارين آخرين، لإدانتهم بارتكاب جرائم قتل وتعذيب وحرمان من الحرية وجرائم ضد الإنسانية وجرائم حرب.

The Fourth Criminal Court in Damascus issued a life sentence today (Monday) against the former Mufti of the Syrian regime, Ahmad Hassoun, after convicting him in a case related to incitement to violence, justifying murder, and abusing his position, as part of trials taking place within the framework of transitional justice in Syria.

The judge, Fakhr al-Din al-Aryan, stated during the sentencing session that the data indicates that the official religious institution, led by the Fatwa House, was utilized during the era of the fallen regime to provide a religious cover for military and security operations and to justify them to public opinion.

He added that the official religious institution during the era of the fallen regime justified the use of barrel bombs that targeted civilian areas and caused widespread destruction, which constitutes a violation of the rules of international humanitarian law.

Al-Aryan clarified that the accused provided regular financial support to the leadership and members of the Quds Brigade participating in military operations, noting that Hassoun's involvement in crimes against humanity and war crimes has been established.

The court decided to convict the accused Hassoun of the felony of inciting civil war and sectarian fighting, sentencing him to life imprisonment. The court also decided to seize the movable and immovable assets of the convicted individual and confiscate them for the benefit of the public treasury. Hassoun's trial comes as a continuation of a series of judicial sessions held within the framework of transitional justice to hold accountable those involved in committing crimes against the Syrian people during the era of the fallen regime. Last Tuesday, the Fourth Criminal Court sentenced the accused Waseem al-Assad to death and confiscated his movable and immovable assets for his conviction of crimes against humanity and war crimes. Additionally, on August 11 of this year, it issued a death sentence in absentia against the accused Atef Najib, and in absentia against the fugitive criminals Bashar al-Assad, Maher al-Assad, and five other fugitive criminals, for their conviction of committing murder, torture, deprivation of liberty, crimes against humanity, and war crimes.
