دعا الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب الجمهوريين إلى إضافة إيران إلى مشروع قانون يتعلق بفرض عقوبات على روسيا.

وكتب ترمب في منشور على موقعه «تروث سوشيال» اليوم (الأحد): «على الجمهوريين إضافة إيران إلى مشروع قانون العقوبات على روسيا. هذا ما أراده ليندسي، وكان سيحدث لا محالة».

وكان السيناتور الديموقراطي ريتشارد بلومنتال قدم مشروع قانون محدّثاً بشأن العقوبات على روسيا ومشتري موارد الطاقة الروسية، الذي تم تطويره بمشاركة السيناتور الجمهوري الراحل ليندسي غراهام. ونُشرت النسخة الرسمية للمشروع على الموقع الإلكتروني للسيناتور، وفق ما أوردت وكالة تاس.

ووفقاً لنص النسخة الجديدة من مشروع القانون، الذي سمي غراهام تكريماً للراحل، فإنه يقترح فرض قيود على الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، وكبار القادة العسكريين والسياسيين في روسيا، ورجال الأعمال، والشركات المملوكة للدولة، والمؤسسات الأجنبية التي، بحسب الجانب الأمريكي، تدعم صناعة الدفاع الروسية.

ويقترح المشروع فرض عقوبات على البنك المركزي الروسي، وبنك «سبيربنك»، وبنك «غازبروم بنك»، إضافة إلى مشاريع الطاقة الروسية الكبرى، وتحديدًا مشروع «يامال» للغاز الطبيعي المسال، و3 مشاريع للغاز الطبيعي المسال في القطب الشمالي، ومشاريع الطاقة الروسية المستقبلية في القطب الشمالي.

وبدلًا من المبادرة المقترحة سابقًا لفرض رسوم جمركية بنسبة 500% على الواردات من الدول التي تشتري موارد الطاقة من روسيا، يُقترح فرض رسوم جمركية بنسبة 100% على أكبر 5 دول مشترية للنفط والغاز الطبيعي الروسي، فضلًا عن 5 دول تساعد روسيا على تجاوز عقوبات الطاقة الغربية.

واقترح أعضاء مجلس الشيوخ فرض قيود على ما يُسمى بأسطول الظل. هذا وفي 14 يوليو، صرّح الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بأن فرص اعتماد مشروع قانون العقوبات ضد روسيا عالية. وأفاد موقع «أكسيوس» بأن الجدول الزمني لنظر مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي في هذه المبادرة لم يُحدد بعد.

U.S. President Donald Trump called on Republicans to add Iran to a bill related to imposing sanctions on Russia.

Trump wrote in a post on his "Truth Social" platform today (Sunday): "Republicans should add Iran to the Russia sanctions bill. This is what Lindsey wanted, and it would have happened inevitably."

Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal had introduced an updated bill regarding sanctions on Russia and buyers of Russian energy resources, which was developed with the participation of the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. The official version of the bill was published on the senator's website, according to the TASS news agency.

According to the text of the new version of the bill, named Graham in honor of the late senator, it proposes imposing restrictions on Russian President Vladimir Putin, senior military and political leaders in Russia, businessmen, state-owned companies, and foreign entities that, according to the U.S. side, support the Russian defense industry.

The bill proposes sanctions on the Russian Central Bank, Sberbank, and Gazprombank, in addition to major Russian energy projects, specifically the Yamal liquefied natural gas project, and three liquefied natural gas projects in the Arctic, as well as future Russian energy projects in the Arctic.

Instead of the previously proposed initiative to impose a 500% tariff on imports from countries that purchase energy resources from Russia, a 100% tariff is proposed on the top 5 countries buying Russian oil and natural gas, as well as 5 countries that help Russia circumvent Western energy sanctions.

Senators proposed imposing restrictions on what is called the shadow fleet. On July 14, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the chances of passing the sanctions bill against Russia are high. Axios reported that the timeline for the U.S. Senate to consider this initiative has not yet been determined.
