أكد قائد المنتخب القطري حسن الهيدوس، جاهزية اللاعبين لخوض المباراة الافتتاحية في المونديال أمام المنتخب السويسري ضمن منافسات المجموعة الثانية من بطولة كأس العالم 2026، مشيرا إلى أن الجميع يدرك حجم المسؤولية الملقاة على عاتقه.

وقال الهيدوس:«المنتخب جاهز لضربة البداية، ونتطلع إلى تقديم صورة مشرفة وتحقيق نتيجة إيجابية تلبي تطلعات جماهيرنا التي قطعت مسافات طويلة لمساندتنا في هذا المحفل العالمي»، لافتا إلى أنه تمت دراسة المنتخب السويسري بشكل جيد خلال الفترة الماضية، ويمتلك جميع اللاعبين ثقة في قدراتهم على تنفيذ تعليمات الجهاز الفني داخل الملعب، وسيبذلون أقصى ما لديهم من أجل تقديم أداء قوي وتحقيق بداية إيجابية في مشوارهم بالمونديال.

وتضم المجموعة الثانية منتخبات قطر وسويسرا وكندا والبوسنة والهرسك، حيث استهلها منتخبا كندا والبوسنة والهرسك بالتعادل بهدف لمثله (1-1).

Group B includes the teams of Qatar, Switzerland, Canada, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina starting it off with a draw of one goal each (1-1).
